A show usually lasts approx 20 minutes but can be tailored to your event. For longer shows an additional fee may be required.

Are your shows family friendly?
Yes! My shows are always family friendly. There is never any nudity or lewd behavior. Children are often my favorite audience members so don't send the them away when it's my turn to dance! I'm also available to teach and perform at children's parties.

Do you bring your own music?
Yes I usually bring my own music on CD or IPOD. Please specify which you would like me to use when hiring me. If you do not have a sound system I can bring my own. If you have a specific song or style of music please feel free to ask me to dance to it (nothing with foul language in it please).

Do you play those finger chime thingys?
Yes and usually they are referred to as finger cymbals, Zaghat (in Egypt) or Zills (in Turkey). I can also dance with veil, veil fans, cane, and swords.

I work with many area dancers and can accommodate many different sized performances. The dancers I work with may also be trained in other styles of dancing or are able to use other types of props (like fire).

Isn't belly dance a form of striptease?
NO!!! My shows are family friendly and no clothing will be removed at any time during a show. I am very professional and I'm not trying to seduce anyone, and I'm also not trying to steal anyones boyfriend (I have my own thank you). In fact in many middle eastern cultures men and women dance separately from one another. So oftentimes belly dance is performed by women for women. Many people also think that belly dance may have it's roots in ancient birthing rituals! Belly dance got it's bad reputation from elaborated tales of harems in the middle east. Hollywood kept this myth going by inventing the skimpier costumes most belly dancers wear today. Before the golden age of Hollywood "belly dancers" wore dresses that covered their bodies completely. Occasionally a scarf was tied around the hips to accent movements. Middle eastern dancers later adopted the Hollywood style costume because it's what tourists expected to see when they visited places like Egypt and turkey. Then in the 60's the rumor was made worse with the whole "How to belly dance for your sultan" craze. So it is just a misconception that belly dance was created as an erotic form of entertainment. Now that you're informed it's safe to inform your friends and hire me for your grandmothers birthday party.

Do you do bachelor parties?
No. I do not to parties for all male audiences. I do however do bachelorette parties and girls night in events.

Will you move to Turkey/Lebanon/Greece/etc with me?
Thank you very much but I must decline your generous offer.
